Host a hackNY Fellow.
What is the hackNY Fellows Program?
The hackNY Fellows, now in its 14th year, is an intensive, structured program designed to introduce talented students to NYC’s tech community. You can find more information about the hackNY Fellows on this page.
Why should my company host a hackNY Fellow?
Strong Talent Pool — hackNY Fellows are some of the world’s top tech talent.
hackNY Fellows hail from all over the world and include students with coding talents in front-end, back-end, data science, machine learning, design, UX/UI, etc.
The hackNY Fellows Program attracts very strong candidates who become deeply involved in the NYC tech community. Our AlumNY have consistently converted into full-time positions where they play key roles in engineering and leadership.
History of Success — hackNY will help you find your next top hire.
We induct Fellows by vetting them against our community of AlumNY. We then match Fellows to companies, weighing their skillsets and preferences against company needs.
Over 100 companies have seen success hosting a hackNY Fellow, many of which have since grown into household names. These include MongoDB, Buzzfeed, Skillshare, DataDog, etc.
You'll have the opportunity to meet all of our Fellows and celebrate their graduation at our annual Demo Night — which is effectively free marketing for your company.
Better Internship Experience — hackNY interns have the support they need to excel.
hackNY provides structured personal and professional mentorship to your intern. Our mentors are some of the most involved AlumNY in our community, and work at companies such as Google, Spotify, MongoDB, Meta, Slack, and Twilio.
hackNY Fellows build a support network by living with other top tech interns in NYC. They share their experiences, motivate each other, and attend a curated Speaker Series together. Click here to listen to testimonials from some of our previous Fellows.

Pay our Fellows a competitive salary for 10+ weeks.
Pay a program fee to hackNY to subsidize the cost of housing and programming.
Preferences:
An office or co-working space in NYC.
Dedicated intern manager with a sizable engineering project.
Non-Goals:
Companies do not have to offer in-person internship programs.
Companies do not have to be based in NYC.
Companies do not have to give return offers to their hackNY intern.
What does the hackNY Fellows Admissions Process look like?
We open Fellows Applications in September. Until January, hundreds of professional AlumNY from our community thoroughly review and interview candidates on a rolling basis.
The Fellows class is finalized in February. Confirmed Fellows are matched with internships at companies that demonstrate strong engineering and mentorship environments.
If your company’s application is accepted, you may be matched with a Fellow anytime between January and May. If you have hard deadlines or requirements for hiring, please let us know at info@hackny.org, and we will try to accommodate them.
