hackNY is a community of technologists aspiring to change the world.
Our aim is to build a diverse and inclusive tech community to empower the next generation of responsible leaders in NYC.
Since 2010, hackNY has empowered a community of student-technologists in New York City through the annual Fellows Program and student hackathons. hackNY is co-organized by faculty from NYU, Columbia, and Harvard Business School.
Fellows Program
The hackNY Fellows program pairs quantitative and computational students with inspiring NYC startups. Students enjoy free housing together over the course of 10 weeks and a pedagogical lecture series to introduce them to the ins and outs of joining and founding a startup.
Hackathons
Every spring and fall, hundreds of students from scores of universities around the country flock to hackNY’s Student Hackathons, where they participate in collaborative and creative coding challenges in a 24-hour coding sprint.
