Oct 9-10: Fall 2010 hackNY Student Hackathon

Calling all student members of the hacking population:July 4th weekend is coming, summer vacation is almost halfway done, and your internships are now in full swing, which makes it a perfect time to announce that:

IT IS ON.

That's right. October 9-10 will be the Fall 2010 hackNY student hackathon. As with the Spring 2010 hackathon this coincides with tech@NYU's Startup Week, and we'll be taking applications from students and startups soon. For now, save  the date and, if you weren't at the spring hackathon, be sure and check out this great video that Yahoo Developer's Network made about the event.

Stay tuned also for information to apply for the class of 2011 hackNY Fellows. More than half the 2010 class of Fellows participated in the last hackathon. It's a great way to learn more about NYC's great startups; to learn from (and teach) your fellow student members of NYC's hacking population; and to compete for prizes and glory.
