Guest post: opportunities for NYC Students from Hive at 55!

Hive at 55 is working to support NYC's student community.  Thanks to Brian DiFeo for this guest post:

I am the Community Manager at the Hive at 55, a thriving coworking space in Lower Manhattan that offers affording workspace to a community of entrepreneurs, startups, and freelancers. The other day I went to the student group meeting for the New York Tech Meetup over at Dogpatch Labs, a similar space to the Hive at 55. I was very impressed by the ideas these students had and the projects they are working on. The Hive at 55 wants to support the student tech community and is offering students two cool opportunities.
One is a competition called Tech in Residence, which is accepting applications from students with startup ideas and aspirations. The finalists will demo their project on May 20 at the Hive in front of judges, guests, and friends of our coworking space. The winner or winners will receive free work space for the entire summer, as well as the chance to mingle with the other companies in our space. Applications are really simple and can be found at www.hiveat55.com.
In addition to the competition for free space, the Hive is eager to engage the student tech community in other ways. Therefore we are offering special discounts on our part time and full time membership plans. We'll give any current or recently graduated student 50% off for the entire summer. Again it's a nice place to get your work done and collaborate with other startups and entrepreneurs.
If you have any questions feel free to call or email us, and you can always stop by any time to check the place out.
